you have a whole mess of options out there when it comes to buying your food
(and if you’re not yet – visit those links – maybe we can change your mind!)
even still….who we kiddin’…..you have options!
here’s how the bossy operates
we’re goin’ into this with a little hands-on experience under the belt from two previous farm internships that focused on organic and sustainable farming practices
we’re kinda on the nerd side of things too…..soaking up as much valuable information as we can via the land stewardship project, moses, online and published resources, networking, related associations and organizations, and a whole slew of field trips, field days, and volunteer work days on area farms
we’re just saucy enough to be adventurous, take some light risks, and try new things – but not so much so that we’ve jumped in head first, buying a huge farm, with no experience, and full of over-promise
speaking of …we’re starting out small, renting land, and doing things on a small-scale which means that we have greater control on quality – quality produce for you!
we’re not trying to be everything to everyone but we are starting with a small, capped csa (community supported agriculture) as well as working on getting into one or two weekend farmers’ markets. we’re even interested in taking on a few local restaurant accounts as we value the importance of diversifying our business
integrity, solid work ethic, open communication, trust, community, relationships, balance….it’s all the backbone of what we do
we’re fun – and we believe in having fun – despite all of the hard work, the planning, the worrying, the weather frustrations, the backaches…..this is our passion and we go about it as such – we’re no longer in that position of feeling like we have to be somewhere we don’t want to be doing something we don’t want to be doing – we’re far too bossy for that!
so, if this sounds like something you’d like to connect with
then we invite you to get bossy with us. you deserve it!
